Obituary

Regina Rosemary Sproles Barron passed away quietly on June 21, 2022. Gina was mother to Robbie Dean Losey and John Wesley Barron, and wife of Wesley Dale Barron, all of Shreveport.

Gina was born in England to Oscar and Kathleen Sproles on December 11, 1945. She moved to Bossier City as a teenager and later attended business school. Gina and Wesley created a successful real estate and appraisal business in Shreveport.

Gina drew great strength from her Christian faith. She had a deep love of horses and was a champion barrel racer. Her beautiful green eyes and red hair complimented her fun-loving nature. Gina’s infectious laugh and big, loving heart will always be remembered. Generous to a fault, she was always willing to help those in need. You never left her house without being offered a coke and candy bar!

Survivors include her devoted sons; husband; sister, Cherry Butler (Dave); brother, Glenn Sproles (Linda); loving niece, Julie Johnson (Josh); nephews, Taylor & Brant Wood and David & Scott Sproles; and niece, Ellie Wood.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 27, 2022, at 11 AM, at Forest Park Funeral Home, 1201 Louisiana Ave, Shreveport, LA  with services beginning at 12 noon, and burial to follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
