Raeanna Laree Free, 23, of Stonewall, entered into Heaven on May 16, 2022, after fighting a lifelong battle with heart problems and undergoing a heart and liver transplant in Houston, TX. Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM on May 21, 2022, with funeral service immediately following at 11 AM, May 21, 2022 at Shreveport Baptist Temple Church with Dr. Howard Hall and Pastor David Daniel officiating. Burial is to follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Arrangements are made by Forest Park Funeral Home.
Raeanna was born in Shreveport on January 30, 1999. She was an honors graduate of North DeSoto High School and was currently attending Northwestern State University, Shreveport pursuing her degree in Business Management. Raeanna was employed at Smoothie King and served as District Manager in Shreveport and Bossier. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Taking spontaneous vacations was one of her favorite hobbies as well as perfecting the art of hair and make-up. She loved making crafts and handmade gifts for her friends and family. She was also a big plant and animal lover.
Raeanna is survived by her father, Donnie Free, of Stonewall; her mother, Kristal Ricketson Hackworth, of Stonewall; her brother, Dalton Free (Brittany); nieces, Aurora and Willow; a nephew, Michael Wayne; her grandparents, Donald and Gayle Free, of Stonewall; her grandmother, Wanda Manning, of Stonewall; as well as many loved aunts, uncles, and cousins. Raeanna was preceded in death by her grandfather, Bob Ricketson and her uncle, Richard Ricketson.
Pallbearers will be Michael Free Jr., Randy Holtzclaw, Eric Gibbs, Danny Free, Keith Free, and Jaxson Ingvardsen. Memorials may be given to the charity of your choice or to Nora's Home for Transplant Patients and Their Families, Houston, TX. The family of Raeanna wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Abdul Bikak and staff, of Willis Knighton North Hospital, Shreveport, the heart transplant team staff and surgeons of Houston Methodist Hospital, her Celebration Church family, and the church family of Shreveport Baptist Temple.
Her family would also like to encourage everyone to consider becoming an organ donor and give the gift of life.
