Mary Corrales Flores passed away at age 90 on April 11, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Natchitoches, Louisiana to Flora and Johnny Corrales on September 16, 1929. She attended St. Mary's Catholic School in Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana. After marrying the love of her life, Norbert Flores, they moved to Shreveport, Louisiana and started their family. She worked hard all of her life and eventually retired from Farmers Seafood Market in Shreveport, Louisiana.
They were active members of St. Catherine’s and St. Joseph Catholic Churches. She is preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Norbert, by only 15 days. Their love could not keep them apart any longer. She is also predeceased by her parents, her only son Alvin Ray Flores, eldest daughter Catherine Flores Rose and her five siblings. Left to cherish her memories are her daughters Sharon Flores Dupuis (Ronnie), Frances Flores Odom (Ken), Cynthia Flores Neyland (John); Grandchildren, Kimberly Slayton, Chad Rose, Angela Rose LaBruyere, Zachary Slayton, Amy Slayton Hutchinson, Chase Neyland and 11 Great Grandchildren along with a host of several nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank the staff at The Guest House, especially Rhonda Clark and Rhonda Pressley for their kind and gentle care of our parents. We would also like to thank Dr. Meghan Harris for her loving care of our mother for the past ten years.
There will be a private Graveside Service with a Memorial Service at a later date.
