Obituary

Bill Joseph Cornelious, 80, a former mechanic, has died on Monday, July 4, 2022, in Shreveport, LA. He was born on December 26, 1941, in Shreveport, to Ben Cornelious and Camille Tuminelo. Bill attended Fair Park High School and played in the American Legion Baseball League. He gave over 40 years of service working as a diesel mechanic. Other than baseball, Bill's hobbies included fishing and drag car racing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Camille.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Paula Schorr Cornelious; children, Kim (Bob) Wynn and Mark (DeeDee) Cornelious; grandchildren, Sarah Wynn, Carter Wynn, and Ethan Cornelious; brother, Frank Maranto; honorary brother, Allen Schorr; honorary sister, Sherry Schorr; and nieces, Brittney West and Chelsea Mibb.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 9, at 10:00 AM at Forest Park Funeral Home, 1201 Louisiana Ave. Shreveport, LA. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM at Forest Park Funeral Home, and burial will take place at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the St. Joseph Hospice Foundation at 17732 Highland Road, Suite G, Box 241, Baton Rouge, LA 70810.
