William Joseph McDaniel passed away suddenly, Wednesday, February 5, 2014 after a brief battle with illness. ""Joey"" married his high school sweetheart, the love of his life, Toni, and after having his only daughter, Lindsey, he felt his life was complete. He was an artist and, as a younger man, loved archaeology and genealogy. He retired from General Motors after 27 years of dedicated service. Proceeding him in death was his mother, Ida McDaniel; and brother, Alan McDaniel. Surviving him in death is his beloved wife, Toni McDaniel of Blanchard, LA; daughter, Lindsey Parker- Antee and husband, Andy Antee of Bossier City, LA; grandson, Michael Antee of Bossier City, LA; father, G.E. McDaniel of Shreveport, LA; sister, Donna Clayton and husband, James Clayton of Blanchard, LA. His final arrangements have been entrusted to Forest Park Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday, February 7, 2014 from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm. Services will be held in Wellman's Memorial Chapel, here at the Funeral Home, on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 11:30am. Interment will be held immediately after the funeral service at Forest Park East Cemetery, 3700 St. Vincent Ave., Shreveport, LA. Special Thanks to his hospice caregivers, friends at G.M., and all other loved ones who stood by ""Joey"" and believed in him. Please join the family in giving him a proper send off.
