Walter Herbert Weferling Jr., born on January 7, 1952, in Shreveport, LA, passed away on July 29, 2026, in his hometown of Shreveport, LA. Walter was a proud graduate of Fairpark High School and later embarked on a career as a self-employed individual, dedicating many years to his business endeavors with great passion and commitment.

Walter was a devout member of the Noel Methodist Church, where he participated actively in the community and found great solace and fellowship. He had a profound love for dancing, a hobby that brought joy not only to him but also to those around him. His dedication to the art of dance was recognized when he received an award for competitive dancing, highlighting his skill and passion for his favorite pastime.

He is survived by his loving children, Trey Weferling (wife, Lisa Weferling) , Jason Weferling, Chris Ryker; and his cherished grandchildren, Sidney, Cullen, Tristen, Dustin, and Rachel. Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Weferling Sr. and Marie Weferling along with sister Kathy Weferling
