A memorial service to honor the life of Mr. Vito Cefalu will be at 1 pm, Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Charles Glorioso officiating. Mr. Cefalu, 91, a native of Shreveport, passed away at home Friday, Feb. 16, 2018. Vito was the Co-Owner, with his father, Tony Sansone, of Sansone's Restaurant. Vito served in the U.S. Navy. He attended Chefs school, in Rome, Italy on two separate occasions. He was on the Board Of Directors for the National Bank of Bossier. Vito's hobbies included: his aircrafts, the Bonanza and Cessna 310. Upon retirement he--as always, enjoyed cooking; boating; and gardening. ‘Mr. Vito' was preceded in death by his biological father, Vito Cefalu; his father Tony Sansone; mother Tina Cefalu Sansone; brother, Joe Sansone; grandfather, Joe Brocato. Vito is survived by his beloved wife, Patsy; children: Sharon, Donna, and Joey Cefalu; uncle, Bobby Brocato; brother-in-law, Gene Whitehurst; niece, Amy Tores; nephews: Clay Whitehurst, George and Mark Fuller; cousins: Sammy Pedro, Stephanie Pedro, Joe Pedro, James Cole, David Bryant, Barbara Guckenheimer, Karen Wilkerson, Rose Bryan, Adele Robillard, and Shirley Soprano. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
