Virginia R. Sigrest

Mrs. Virginia Rose Hamilton Sigrest passed away March 6, 2016. Virginia was born November 30, 1931 in Petal, MS. We will remember her for her witty humor, her love of old musicals, her passion for the beach, and her incredible ability to persevere. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward Eugene Sigrest. She is survived by her daughters; Gina Jenkins and husband Eddie, Lisa Sigrest and Marla Sigrest, all of Shreveport. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Joshua Kneipp and wife Sofia Romero, Matthew Jenkins and wife Lynn, Garrett Holtsclaw and wife Rachel, Courtney Kneipp Mathis and husband Tyler, Conner Jenkins and wife Caroline, Kelsy Jones, and Cameron Hutto, and four great-grandchildren; Michelle, Mia, Lia, and Elias. There will be a time of visitation Saturday, March 12th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Grace Community UMC. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Her family extends their gratitude to the nurses and staff at Live Oak Health Center for their kind and loving care. Thank you, also, to Regional Hospice for their support.
