Vera Lucille Langston

Vera Lucille Langston, aged 91, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2024, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Born on April 4, 1933, in Bossier City, Louisiana, Vera dedicated her life to her family as a loving homemaker.

Vera was a devout Christian and an active member of her community. She was a life member of Barksdale Baptist Church and, for the past 10 years, attended West View Christian Church. Her faith and her family were the pillars of her life.

In addition to her commitments at home and church, Vera had a passion for antiques. She was an avid antique collector and dealer, a hobby that brought her much joy and fulfillment.

Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Walter M. Langston; her parents, Crosure and Eula Tubbs; her granddaughter, Amanda Langston; her brothers, Virgil and Douglas Tubbs; and her sister, Billie Foster. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her daughter, Jodie Brown and husband Alan Reinecke; son, Bobby Langston and wife Beverly; granddaughter, Robin Carroll-Voisin and husband Jamie; grandson, Jeremy Langston and wife Angel; great-grandsons, Cody Coffman, Aaron Carroll, and Landon Langston; great-granddaughters, Ariel and Daisey Langston; and her sister, Carol Middleton and husband George.

Services to celebrate Vera’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, with a visitation at 9:00 AM and the funeral service at 10:00 AM, with Gary Boswell officiating. Interment to follow at Forest Park Cemetery 3700 St. Vincent Ave. The pallbearers will be Alan Reinecke, Robert Tubbs, Roy Tubbs, Henry Glass, Roger Foster, and Jamie Voisin. All arrangements are under the care of Forest Park Funeral Home, located at 1201 Louisiana Ave, Shreveport, Louisiana 71101.
