Teresa R Swallows

Teresa R. Swallows, 59, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at her home on August 26, 2023.

Teresa was born January 2, 1964, in Kenner, Louisiana to Billy Hope and Jwon Hope. Teresa spent her life here in Shreveport. She was a dog groomer for many years, which was a great passion of hers. Teresa also loved the color purple and butterflies were her favorite.

Teresa is preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Jwon Hope; her father in law John Swallows Sr; and her grand-daughter Zoie Woods.

Teresa is survived by her husband, John Swallows; her children, John Swallows III, Billy Swallows, Rachel Swallows; her stepchildren, April Swallows, Tanya Benson, Mary Funderburk, Angel Toal; 25 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild;  mother in law, Sharon Swallows; and her siblings, Terri Hope-Medel, Carol Hope, Barbara Hope, Kimberly Tackett.

A Visitation will be held Friday, September 1, 2023, from 4:00pm till 7:00pm at Forest Park Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 2:00pm at Forest Park Funeral Home with interment to follow at Forest Park Cemetery West.
