Susan Hughes Carter

Susan Marie Hughes Carter, 53, of Shreveport, LA passed away Friday, February 6, 2015 in her home in Shreveport as the result of long term illness. Susan Marie Hughes Carter was born in Shreveport, LA to Mary Hughes and W.C. Hughes on February 27, 1961. She was a loving daughter, devoted wife, and amazing mother. She always put the needs of her family above her own. She graduated from Bossier Parish Community College as a magna cum laude on May 15, 1996 receiving a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. She was the ""sticky stuff"" that held her family together. She will be dearly missed. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Charles S. Carter, her son Chris Carter, her daughter and her fiance', Michelle Carter and Joey York, her grand kids, Colin York, Dakota York, and Logan Myers, her brother Phillip Hughes, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Hughes and W.C. Hughes and her brother Randall Hughes. The family would like to welcome guests for visitation Wednesday, February 11, from 11:00 am until time of service at noon. Internment will take place at Forest Park West Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Louis Player, Christian York, Howard Schneider, Colin York, James Nolan, and Joey York Honorary PallBearers will be Dakota York and Logan Myers
