Sherry Horn Powell, born on September 11, 1948, passed at age 65, on April 23, 2014. She graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1966 and was a 14 year member of the Caddo Sheriff's Department. She is preceded in death by her father, Jackson Horn and two brothers, Jackie and James Horn. Left to carry on her memory are her mother, Francis Horn; son, Kenneth Mann; daughter, Shelia Mann; son, James Mann; grandchildren, Jessica Lee, Tori Thompson, Brandon Meacham, Bryce Meacham, Brock Mann, Michael Mann, and Heather Kelly; and great-grandchildren, Kaitlynn Lee, Charles Lee, and Jase McTire. Final Arrangements have been entrusted to Forest Park Funeral Home, 1201 Louisiana Ave., Shreveport, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Forest Park Funeral Home in the Camellia state room. Pre-service visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 8:30am until time of service at 1:00pm in the Wellman's Memorial Chapel in Forest Park Funeral Home. Internment will immediately follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd., Shreveport, LA.
