Sarah Adams Burns, 42, of Frierson, Louisiana, entered the arms of the Lord on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.


Born on April 17, 1982, Sarah graduated from Haughton High School class of 2000 and furthered her education at Bossier Parish Community College, earning a bachelor's degree in criminal science. She dedicated her career to serving as a 911 dispatcher for Bossier and DeSoto Parish and volunteer first responder, a role that highlighted her commitment to helping others in critical times. Sarah was a person who cherished the simple joys of life whether it was memorizing episodes of "Friends," riding & attending motorcycle rallies with her husband, road-trips & traveling, attending concerts, or spending time with family and friends. Sarah was an individual who lived life to the fullest and was an individual who truly lived in pursuit of happiness. Sarah was always an open heart to those who needed a friend, support and encouragement.


She is preceded in death by her grandparents Minnie Faye Self & Walter Marvin Adams, Bobbie & Wiley Dale Cardin, and sister Tiffany Danielle Bradley.


She is survived by the love of her life, John Michael Burns; children, Kaitlyn Danielle Ferguson, Megan Noel Robinson, Caiden Burns, and Franklin Burns; father, Ricky Dale Adams & Linda Gail Todd; mother, Kathryn Cardin Adams Bradley, Charles Edwin Bradley II & wife Janet Caldwell Bradley; sisters, Amy Adams Brockner & Samantha Brianna Bradley; nephews, Cameron Dreher & Beau Charles Bradley, nieces, Michaela Adams and Caroline Mills; and

granddaughter, Lynette Burns, as well as countless loving friends.


Pallbearers to honor Sarah are Phil Spears, Michael Dooly, Trey Luce, Franklin Burns, Caiden Burns, Jimmy Moreno, Jason Fortenbery, with Beau Charles Bradley as her honorary pallbearer.


Visitation will be held at Forest Park Funeral Home 1201 Louisiana Ave. in Shreveport, LA on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Collin Wimberly officiating. Interment will be held at Forest Park West Cemetery 4000 Meriwether Rd. in Shreveport, LA in the mausoleum.


In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory. Sarah's life was a testament to her love for her community, family & friends. She will be forever deeply missed and loved by all who knew her.
