Sara M Carter

Sara Margarete Moore Carter 81 of Benton LA went to be with the Lord from her home on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. She was born February 22, 1937 in Bernice, Louisiana to Palmer Moore and Laura Thurmon Moore. After graduating Bernice High School she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree From La Tech and her Masters of Science from LSU. Sara was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Benton where teaching Sunday School was only a small part of her service there for she loved the Lord and served Him in any way that she could. She loved her family and friends very much and enjoyed gardening and working In her yard. Preceding her in death is her husband James M. Carter, her five brothers and three sisters, and her parents; Palmer and Laura Moore. Left to cherish her memories are her children; Laura Carter, Mary Reed, James Dabsim Carter and Step son Mike Duke. Her Grandchildren; Rebecca and Helen Reed, Kristina Drupp, Cortney & Kasey Duke and Cayden Carter along with Four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
