Sandra Bryant Fuller

A funeral mass for Sandra LeVasseur Bryant-Fuller, 75, will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Charles Glorioso officiating and Fr. Joseph Kallookalam assisting. Interment will follow at Forest Park West. Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 4, 2017 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Forest Park Funeral Home with a vigil immediately following. A lifelong resident of Shreveport, Sandra was born on July 15, 1941 and passed away at her home on Saturday, December 31, 2016 from complications with COPD. She attended Fair Park High School and was an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church for 53 years. Known by many names, Sandra, Mom, MaMa Me, Maw Maw, Aunt Sandra and Aunt Chick to name a few, she brought a smile and happiness to all around her. Sandra loved the Lord above all and next to that was her love of family. Her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were so precious to her as well as her many nieces and nephews. Whether related by blood or marriage, a life long friend or one newly acquired, Sandra loved each and every one unconditionally - and you knew it. She was an outgoing woman and always made you feel welcome in her home. Sandra was able to walk into a room of strangers and by the time she left, she had made new friends. She was an antique dealer, loved to refinish furniture, go to estate sales and garage sales and find a bargain wherever she could. She enjoyed life and loved to dance. After her husband of 40 years passed away, she later enjoyed going out to the Horseshoe where she danced hours at a time to her favorite bands, made many new friends and met the current love of her life. Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, A.J. and Winifred LeVasseur, sisters, Margie Edwards and Faye White, her first husband, Roger C. Bryant, Sr., her in-laws Carl and Cora Mae Bryant, Martha Golden, brother-in-law Jack Bryant and best friend of 45 years Velma Crofton. Sandra is survived by her husband Don W. Fuller, son Roger C. Bryant, Jr and wife Tina, daughters Brenda K. Bryant and Darlyne Methvin and daughter Jahnienne B. Varwig and husband Terry. She is also survived by her grandchildren Scooter Bryant, Brandon Bryant, Hunter Dennison, Morgan Dennison and Tyler Bryant as well as her bonus grandchildren Brandi, Starla, Kristy and Annette and 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Sandra also loved her sisters-in-law and brothers-in law, Sandy Greig, Pam Steiner, Debra Graves, Shree' Raley, Butch Fuller and Ray Fuller. Pallbearers will be grandsons, nephews and great-nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Gerry San Pedro for his kindness during our mom's illness and Christus Hospice, especially Michelle (""Blondie""), Valarie, Susan and Chaplain Keith for their care and compassion as she traveled through her final earthly journey.
