Sandra Faler Clark, 63, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Ochsner Hospital following a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 27, 1961, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to the late L.B. and Gaynelle Joan Simon Faler.
Sandra grew up in Denham Springs, Louisiana. She obtained a bachelor’s degree from Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe, Louisiana. Sandra met the love of her life while attending the university, they would marry and move to Shreveport, Louisiana.
Sandra was a Nuclear Medicine Technician for the Veterans Affair Hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana and spent thirty-eight years as a professional musician, playing the clarinet for the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra here in Shreveport.
She played with the Marshall Symphany, Texarkana Symphany, Longview Symphany, and the El Dorado Symphany.
Sandra loved to travel all over the world. Her favorite place to travel was Italy. She always enjoyed her Gelato Ice Cream while in Italy.
She was preceded in passing by her parents and one brother, William “Willy” Faler.
Left to cherish the beautiful memories Sandra leaves behind will be her beloved husband of forty-two years, William A. “Bill” Clark; four siblings, Donna Faler Rash, Brenda Faler, Brian Faler, John Faler; along with many extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 12, 2024, in the Chapel of Forest Park Funeral Home, 1201 Louisiana Avenue, Shreveport, Louisiana, 71101 with Tim Ervin officiating.
Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Forest Park East Cemetery, 3700 St. Vincent Avenue, Shreveport, Louisiana, 71103.
