Ruth Malone Peters

Ruth Irene Malone Peters went on to be with her Lord and Savior on January 5, 2018. She was born on August 25, 1929 in Cloud Chief, OK and lived on to be 88 years old. She married Edwin Kenneth Peters on September 5, 1948. They had 4 children: Kenneth, Larry, Becky, & Joani. She is predeceased by her parents Sion & Alcia Dean Violet Malone; son-in-law Bobby Brawley, Jr.; and grandchild Lance Bailey. Her surviving family members include Kenny & Sharon Peters, Larry Peters, Bill & Becky Bounds, & Joani Brawley; one sister, Ann Collie; grandchildren, Paul, Aaron, Hannah, Molly, Craig, Angela, Bobby III, Alice, and 8 great grandchildren. Edwin pastored many churches in Arkansas, Texas, and Louisiana. Ruth served as the pastor's wife many times taking on several roles in the church. They lived a blessed life. The family would like to express our gratitude to Rose Park Baptist Church members, Lifecare Hospice, and her extended family at Garden Park Nursing Home who gave her excellent care. She loved all of you! - "When I Am Gone" When I am gone, release me, let me go. I have so many things to see and do. You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears. Be happy that we had so many years. I gave you my love, you can only guess How much you gave to me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown, But now it's time I traveled on alone. So grieve a while for me, if grieve you must. Then let your grief be comforted by trust. It's only for a while that we must part, So bless the memories within your hearts. This is a journey we all must take; A step on the road to home we make. So when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a "Welcome home."
