Rose Elaine Nagel

January 5, 1942 — December 25, 2023

Our beloved Rose Elaine Monroe Nagel, 81, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023.

She was born to Delmar Linton Monroe and Lois Marie Dodd Monroe on January 5, 1942 in Jacksonville, Florida.

Elaine was a vibrant, generous and passionate woman. When she loved, whether people or activities, she loved with every fiber of her being. Like her mother, she loved dancing, especially with her late husband Sid. She loved to travel with friends and family. She loved God and her church "The Simple Church." She was creative and LOVED to "make things." She would teach everyone she knew how to sew, quilt, embroider, or use their cameo/silhouette machines. She loved genealogy and spent many hours of detective work learning about her or other loved one's family trees. She loved technology and was determined to keep up with it. She ran her facebook pages, youtube channels and had all the latest phones, computers and apple watches. She loved her cats in spite of her not insignificant allergies. She loved all things Disney. She loved holidays, especially Christmas. She loved to decorate, make divinity and she was a wonderful gift giver.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Sid Nagel; her parents Delmar and Lois Monroe; her siblings Alice Ann, Delmar Linton Jr. "Bo", and William Charles "Bill" Monroe; her Grandson Jeremy Nagel.
