Rita Bettina Jayne Wager Sanders

Rita Bettina Jayne Wager Sanders, 85, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2023, at her home.

Rita was born to Kenneth W. Wager and Adelaida Vasquez Wager on March 2, 1938 in Norfolk, Virgina. Rita attended Linda Vista High School, then went onto Bossier Community College. Rita spent most of her life in Shreveport, Louisiana where she worked and later retired after 30 years at AT&T. Rita loved to cook and she loved the smells and benefits of essential oils.

Rita is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Clyde Sanders; her parents, Kenneth and Adelaida Wager; and her siblings Donnie and Kenneth.

Rita is survived by her children, Kenneth Sanders (Elaine), Pamela Jayne Richard Edgell, Timothy Sanders (Sandy); her grandchildren, Amanda Jayne, Johnathan, Daniel, Kathryn; her brother, Johnny Wager; and her great-grandchildren, Kaylie Jayne, Delilah Jayne, Madison, Natalee, Shelby, Adeline, Emmalee Jayne, Aidan, Riley; and numerous cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, September 29, 2023 from 1pm-3pm at Forest Park Funeral Home.
