Rhonda Faye Howard

Rhonda Faye Howard, 67, of Shreveport, passed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on June 17, 2023. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lewis “Buddy” Howard, and her parents, Gordon and Katherine Green. She is survived by her children, Courtney Howard,, and Patrick Howard; her siblings, Steven Green and Sandra and Bill Dees; her cherished granddaughter, Nora Allen Howard; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Rhonda was born September 7, 1955. in Enid OK, and after moving several times in early childhood, her family settled in Many, LA. She graduated from Negreet High School and attended Northwestern State University in Natchitoches.

She was a faithful parishioner of Hope Community Church of God. She spent her early years working in finance before finding her calling as Director of Caddo Council on Aging. Rhonda loved painting and crafting gifts for her loved ones. Family and close friends shared many laughs and delicious meals at her home to celebrate each holiday. This is where Rhonda found the greatest joy.

Graveside Services will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023, at 12:30PM at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd. A viewing will be held prior to the service, at 10AM at Forest Park Funeral Home, 1201 Louisiana Ave., with a procession to the cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Rhonda's honor may be sent to a charity of your choice.
