Ray Franklin Patton

Ray Franklin Patton ""Frankie"" was born April 23rd, 1943 in Hampton, Iowa as the second youngest of eight brothers and sisters to parents John Clark and Elvira Patton. Ray was welcomed in heaven on Sunday February 4th, 2018. He enlisted in the Air Force immediately after graduating high school serving for 10 years advancing to the rank of Captain and awarded the Good Conduct, Vietnam Service and Airman's Medals. After serving the armed forces, Ray graduated from Northwestern State University in nursing. He continued to serve his fellow veterans as a registered nurse for over 33 years at Overton Brooks VA Medical Center. Ray Frankin was a wonderful husband, father and ""Pawpaw"". He is survived by his wife of 41 years Rae Ann, sons Roger and Randy and grandchildren Clark, Adrianna and Enzo. He is also survived by his brother Rex Patton and sisters Ruth Hansen and Rosetta Martin as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A service celebrating the life of Ray F. Patton will be held Saturday February 10th, 2018 at 11:00 at Forest Park Funeral Home followed by interment at Forest Park Cemetery West. Visitation will be Friday the 9th from 5-8.
