Ray Gillespie

Ray Gillespie, age 80, passed away Wednesday morning, November 9, 2016. Funeral services are at 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 12th, at the Oakmont Church of God, in Shreveport, followed by private grave side service for the immediate family. Ray is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years Delores Gillespie, three children, Norman Gillespie, Dale Gillespie and Becky Jarnagan. He had many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren that he loved so much, He also leaves behind a loving brother Larry Gillespie and a sister Martha Williamson. Ray was born in Melder, Louisiana on November 13th, 1936. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood work, and would always lend a hand when family or friends were in need. He supported his family by working 37 years for Hebert's Town and Country as parts manager until he retired. The Family wishes to invite all of Ray's friends, family, and loved ones for a reception, also taking place at Oakmont Church, immediately following the Funeral Service.
