Phyllis Eltife Adkison Kyle, TX A Celebration of Life service for Phyllis Adkison, 70, will be held at on Friday, July 21, 2017 with a 10:30am visitation and the funeral service to follow immediately at 12:00pm in the chapel of Forest Park Funeral Home, Shreveport, LA. Father Charles Glorioso will officiate under the direction of Forest Park. Phyllis Elizabeth Eltife Adkison was born on January 8, 1947 in Shreveport, LA, to the late Edmund Francis and Selma Martha Faour Eltife. She fell asleep with Jesus on July 15, 2017 in Kyle, TX. She was a woman of God and always enjoyed serving him. Phyllis established; Oblates of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at Our Lady's Maronite Catholic Church, Austin, TX. It's purpose is for living a Holy life with emphasis on daily prayer! Phyllis was a very special woman with an angelic personality. She had a heart of gold and loved everyone she met, without prejudice! She possessed a very strong sense of family and very proud of her Lebanese Heritage. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; her uncles Joseph and Daniel Faour; her aunts Cecelia Maroun and Lee Faour. Left to cherish the beautiful memories Phyllis leaves behind will be her two daughters: Annette D'Armata (Lourdes), Tami Smith (Bubba), Grandchildren Lee Tullis, Brandon Tullis (Truth), Lauren Jackson (Michael); Five great grandchildren Brantlee and Rowdy Tullis, Blakeslee, Kaydence, and Lillian Jackson; Sister Renee Whitler (Mike); Niece Lindsay Gosslee Langford (Scott); Her nephew Taylor Gosslee (Katelyn); Great nephews Lucas and Cooper Langford; Her aunt Matilda Faour Yamin; many cousins across Texas and Louisiana, a very special friend; Marsha Fekany along with many loving, friends! Honoring Phyllis as pallbearers will be Lee Tullis, Brandon Tullis, Michael Jackson, Bubba Smith, Mike Whitler, and Taylor Gosslee.
