Paulette Ann Smith

Paulette Ann Smith, 75, passed away on August 19, 2024, at Heritage Manor South in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was born November 20, 1948, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Paulette was preceded in death by her mother, Mary B. Henderson, brother; Alvin Cheneau, and her beloved husband; Allen P. Smith.

Left to cherish Paulette’s wonderful memories will be her daughter; Veanca Long (Shedrick), Sean Gardner (Michele), grandchildren: Erin Bush (Arthur) Asia Long, Zion Long, great-grandchild: Kash Bush, sisters: Freda Clark, Sandra King, Wanda Haynes, Jennifer Haynes Mosley, and one brother; Ernest Haynes, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many wonderful friends.

Paulette was a lifelong New Orleans resident until 2009 when she left New Orleans and moved to Shreveport, Louisiana. She graduated from McDonough 35 c/o 1966 she had a daughter in 1967 and a son in 1968. She went to Straight’s Business School. She later enrolled at UNO and Southern University in New Orleans where she graduated with a degree in accounting. Paulette worked at Charity Hospital Accounting Department in New Orleans for twenty-plus years. Her hobbies include Softball and the love of Tennis.
