Nicola Ray Timpa

Nicola Ray Timpa, affectionately known as Nick, was born on January 22, 1935, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He departed this life on March 1, 2026, in Shreveport, Louisiana, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication.

A proud alumnus of Byrd High School, Nick upheld a strong of community and commitment throughout his life. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, exemplifying the values of service and sacrifice that he carried with him long after his military days.

Nick cherished his family dearly. Was a devoted husband to Loretta Timpa for 66 wonderful years. Their union was a testament to love and partnership. Nick is survived by their beloved child, Christina Williams, who is married to Charlie, and their grandson, Travis Timpa. He is also survived by his siblings, Sam Timpa and Marie Russom, along with several nieces and nephews who brought joy to his life.

Nick was preceded in death by his son, Michael Timpa, as well as his parents, Joe and France Timpa, and his sister, Patsy Timpa. Their memories remain a cherished part of his journey.

In his final days, Nick received exceptional care, and the family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice Nurse Kelsey and caretaker Barb for the wonderful support they provided. Special thanks also go out to Cynthia Taylor for her love and unwavering support during this time.

A visitation will be held in his honor on March 4, 2026, at 10:30 AM at Forest Park Funeral Home in Shreveport, Louisiana. Following this, a memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM at the same location, allowing family and friends to come together to celebrate the life of a remarkable man who will be deeply missed.
