Mrs. Myrdis Rhea Griffith

Mrs. Myrdis Griffith of Shreveport passed away peacefully on May 13th in Shreveport, LA. Mrs. Griffith is preceded in death by her mother Velda Roark and father J. D. Roark, her husband Dan Griffith, her daughter Deborah Harvey and son Gary Griffith. Mrs. Griffith is survived by her sister Doris Roark Fuller of Stonewall, her brother Larry Roark of Cypress, TX, her sons Gerry Kelly (wife Venice), Kevin Griffith (wife Barbara), Larry Griffith (wife Kimberly), and Darin Griffith (wife Jennifer). Mrs. Griffith was blessed with 16 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Mrs. Griffith was retired from JCPenney stores where she worked faithfully in stores in Monroe and Shreveport for many years. She was also a faithful member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Shreveport, as well as First Baptist Church Swartz, LA. Mrs. Griffith will be remembered for her beautiful alto voice which she faithfully used in church choirs and other various singing opportunities with her children. She also loved taking family pictures and could be spotted with a camera in hand and a quick 'Gotcha' and a smile, gathering memories over the years. Please keep the Griffith Family lifted in Prayer.
