Mrs. Lois Westmoreland

Lois Ann Westmoreland, 88, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at home July 8, 2021. A graveside service will be held July 13, 2021, at 10am at Memorial Garden North in Blanchard, LA. Officiating will be Bro Dan Lay, Jr. Miss Lois was born September 2, 1932, in Grand Forks, ND to the late Osmund and Marie Hofstad. She drove a Caddo Parish school bus for 29 years. A devoted member of Trinity Heights Baptist Church. She taught 2nd grade Sunday School and worked in the church nursey close to 50 years. She enjoyed her family, flowers, her screened in porch, gingersnaps, and coffee. She loved her chickens and they loved her. Gunsmoke was her favorite TV show. Lois is preceded in death by her parents Osmund and Marie Hofstad (Oklee, MN); husband of 61 years, Bobby R. Westmoreland; brothers, Paul, Raymond, Stanley Hofstad; sister, Doris Nelson (siblings from MN) She is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Dee-Dee) Matlock and husband James Morris Matlock of Plain Dealing, LA; son, Randy Westmoreland and Teri McVay of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Sharla Heil (John) of Mooringsport,LA, Amanda Jensen (Henning) of Haughton, LA, Matthew Matlock (Lindsay) of Benton, LA, Stand Westmoreland (Ashley Metcalf); great-grandchildren, Dakota and Zach Dupont, Hayden Smith, Carter and Leah Jensen, Kennedy Matlock; great great grandchild, Lane Dupont of Ida, LA; sisters, Elaine Broker and Carol Roisland of Grafton, ND; brothers, Orlando Hofstad of Mary Esther, FL, Leslie (Alice) Hofstad of Plummer, MN. Many nieces and nephews and her sweet dog, Anna. Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Westmoreland, Stan Westmoreland, Matthew Matlock, Dakota Dupont, Henning Jensen, Greg Daughtery.
