Wayne - Dad - PawPaw Loved and Missed by All Who Knew Him Marlin "Wayne" Addison, age 79, of Mooringsport, Louisiana passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 7, 2020. He was the retired owner of Addison Asphalt Paving of Shreveport. Wayne was born November 10, 1940 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Manilla "Nellie" Frances Wallace and James "Jim" Nathanial Addison. He lived in the Shreveport, Blanchard, Minden and Mooringsport areas throughout his life. He attended Byrd High School. Wayne loved spending time fishing with his longtime friend Troyce Mangum. He also enjoyed shooting pool, watching football, woodworking, visiting family and friends, bonfires and cookouts. He was preceded in death by his parents - Nellie and Jim Addison; brothers - Clayton and wife Doris Addison, Robert and wife Betty Addison, Leo Addison; sisters - Alloween Brister and James Chellette, Lois and Charles Defee, Mary Addison, Ava and Mavis Cash. Survivors include two daughters, Alicia Addison Mitchell and husband James of Pittsburg, Kansas; Daphne Addison Cannon of Mooringsport, Louisiana; previous wife Judith Smith Addison of Pittsburg, Kansas; Six grandchildren, Aaron Cannon and wife Stephanie; Jacob "Seth" Cannon; Skylar Stockmon; Kristofor Mitchell, Shelby Mitchell, Keara Mitchell Gray and husband Tylor Gray. Four great-grandchildren, Logan Cannon, Alex Cannon, Jameson Gray and Lukas Gray. "Uncle" Wayne will also be greatly missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Wayne is also survived by special friends Stacey Brown, Ed, Troyce Mangum and Shannon. He also leaves behind his most beloved companion, his dog Bear. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service to be held later. Date and time to be announced.
