Michael Shuflin

Services for Michael Lesley Shuflin will be held graveside at 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 15th 2018 at Forest Park West Cemetery, Shreveport, LA Mike was born on December 25th, 1946 to W.L. & Addine Shuflin in Shreveport, LA and passed away at home on October 13th. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Scott, his brother Ronald and nephew Curt Glover. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Gayle Shuflin, daughter Christy Canfield & husband Mark, sister Pam Glover, granddaughter Hannah Shuflin, nieces Stacy Glover and Lisa Langston, several cousins and his longtime loyal friend Roy Johnson. Mike served in the Army Reserve for 6 years. He was employed briefly by Riley-Beard then began a long career with Sulzer Bingham Pumps where he held management positions for over 20 years. Mike opened his own machine shop in 1990, located in Bossier City, LA where he spent many long hours building his successful business. He was dedicated to taking care of his family being a very kind, compassionate, loyal man with an incredible work ethic. If you were one of the blessed few that he opened up to, you had a true friend for life. If he wasn't fulfilling an order from one of his many loyal customers, he could be found at his camp on Toledo Bend Lake fishing and enjoying the fellowship of his many friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
