Michael Owens

Michael Wesley Owens, 69, passed away on June 3, 2018. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 46 years, Evelyn and his daughter, Rebecca. Michael will also be fondly remembered by his sister, Barbara Williams (Tom) and brother-in-law John Sakovich (Katherine), sister-in-law Linda Sakovich (Jim) and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Frances and Mickey Owens and his brother Marc Owens. Michael graduated from Woodlawn High School and attended both Northwestern State College and Louisiana Tech University. He became a machinist by trade and loved motorcyles and working on anything mechanical. The family would like to express appreciation to the staff at Promise Hospital Shreveport for the care they provided. The family asks that you honor and remember him by doing an act of kindness for someone each day and by loving life, family, and friends just as he did.
