Maurice was born on June 20th, 1934 to Maurice Dubroca Reggio Sr. and Ruth Mariam Grey Reggio in Shreveport, LA. He went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 7th, 2024 in Bossier City, LA.

Maurice met Jacqueline Meek at the local skating rink in the early 1950s, and they wed October 16th, 1954, going on to have three children, Pamela, Michael, and Chris.

Maurice was a loving husband, father, “Papaw”, brother, son, uncle, and nephew. He was a life-long, devout Catholic. He regularly attended daily mass while in retirement. He spent 40 years working for Beairds, in the pressure vessel manufacturing industry, eventually working his way up to a supervisor position. Maurice was a deeply loving and generous man, treating everyone he knew with kindness and respect.

Being that Maurice was the only boy out of six children, his family often referred to him as the “Family Jewel”. Maurice was dedicated to his family, always being the dependable patriarch that could provide support and

guidance in times of need. Maurice loved traveling with his beloved wife, Jaqueline, and would take frequent vacations around the country. He was an outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and simply soaking in nature's beauty all around him. He also enjoyed capturing glimpses of nature and countless memories with photography. He regularly enjoyed going out to eat at a rotation of his favorite restaurants, developing many friendly relationships with the staff. In his later years, he was a passionate book, movie, and TV show lover and could often be found reading, listening to an audiobook, or watching one of his favorite movies or series, most of them being of the romance genre. One of Maurice’s most loveable traits was his sense of humor, making almost everyone he came across crack a smile and laugh. The jokes he told and memories he created will live on for many years to come.

Anyone who knew Maurice knew that he was the most loving grandfather, father, and husband a family could ask for. Maurice was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice Dubroca Reggio Sr., Ruth Mariam Grey Reggio, his wife Jacqueline, his sisters, Jeanne Louise, Joan Elizabeth, Martha Marie, Ruth Ann, and his daughter-in-law Darleen Reggio. He is survived by his sister, Vickie Lynn and her husband Jim Jambon; his three children, Pamela Mitchell, and her husband Timothy Mitchell, Mike Reggio and his wife Debby Reggio, Chris Reggio, in addition to numerous in-laws, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.

Honoring Maurice as pallbearers will be Brett Reggio, Ryan Reggio, Matthew Mitchell, Brandon Pederson, Joe Normand, and Alex Evans. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Tim Mitchell, Sage Barker, and the Custom Stump Tree Service Crew
