Mary Mcwilliams Of Shreveport, La

Mary Woodward McWilliams, born June 26, 1919, passed away September 21, 2013. She lived most of her life in Shreveport, LA. Mary graduated from Byrd High school in 1937, and attended Centenary College where she majored in education. Preceding her in death is her Husband Roy B McWilliams and Daughter Susan Berger Davis. Surviving Mary in death is her daughter, Mary McWilliams Cox, two grandchildren, Susanne Spivey and Charles Peretti, and four great-grandchildren, Jennifer and Jonathon Spivey, also Luke and Clay Peretti. Mary was an amazing Mother, wife, and Grandmother. Her favorite hobbies included fishing every weekend on Lake Bistineau and Sewing fantastic tapestries and clothing. Her favorite flower was the red rose which symbolized Love and compassion, which is what she showed to everyone around her. She will be missed. Arrangements have been entrusted to Forest Park Funeral Home. Services will be held at Haynes Avenue Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 10:00am. Interment will be immediately after services at Forest Park East Cemetery with police escort.
