Marjorie Miller Palmisano, "Margie" She was born April 10, 1928 in Kansas City Mo., and went to be with the Lord April 6, 2017 at the age of 88. Margie was the co-owner and CEO of Ernest's Orleans Restaurant, which opened in Shreveport, LA in 1988. Prior to that, she operated and managed restaurants all over the state of Louisiana, mainly In New Orleans for Joseph Marcello and Nick Mosca at the Elmwood Plantation Restaurant, Broussard's Restaurant, La Louisianne, and L'enfant's. Before that, she operated with her former husband Ernest Palmisano, Sr., Ernest's Stable, and many others they owned and operated together. As many people know, "Margie" was so much more than a restaurateur, she was their Loving Mother, Grandmother, and Closest Friend. In fact, "Ma" as she was known by the family, was always there with a smile, and an encouraging word of advice: To Love. The words of advice she always instilled in them was: "to do the right thing." Marjorie Palmisano was preceded in death by her parents, Loren D. Miller, of Kansas City, MO., Marjorie I. Loe Of Long Beach, California, a sister "Donna," daughters Barbara Deanne Jensen, Marjorie "Scottie' Allen, and a son, Donald Phillip Jensen. Mrs. Palmisano is survived by a brother, Duncan Miller of Little Rock Ark., a son, Ernest Palmisano, Jr., and wife Tina Marie, along with grandchildren, Thomas Allen Jr., Ron Allen, and Ernest Palmisano III, plus, a great-grandchild Thomas Allen III, nephew Robert Holiday, and niece Victoria Cervantes, of California. Funeral services for "Margie" Palmisano will be held Tuesday, April 11th in the Chapel at Forest Park Funeral Home, downtown Shreveport, Louisiana, 1201 Louisiana Ave., Shreveport, Louisiana, 71101. www.forestparkfh.com Visitation 9am, with funeral service immediately following at 10am. The Rev. Msgr. Carson Lacaze, and the Rev. Ron Hampton will both preside. The Palmisano family wishes to acknowledge with heartfelt thanks to Jenny Alexander and Jacci Wilson, who faithfully cared for Mrs. Margie at her bedside, throughout the day and night. Additionally, the love and compassion shown by Dr. Eric Smith, Dr. Paul Schuler, Mr. Sonny Moss, and the entire staff Of Willis Knighton Medical Center, Pierremont, will always be remembered and cherished. During her final journey home, much thanks and love goes to the caring and loving staff of the Grace Home in Shreveport, Louisiana. Pall Bearers will be Jim Selitto, Fernando Maldonado, Steve Shufflin, Gladfer Maldonado, Joey Hendrix, Bill Rehak, Tom G. Pace, and David White, (Honorary).
