Margaret Ruth Scott

Margaret Ruth Scott, born on October 31, 1962, in Shreveport, Louisiana, peacefully passed away on April 13, 2026, in Bossier City. Her departure marks the conclusion of a life intimately connected to the region she called home from beginning to end.

Margaret’s family and community will assemble to honor her memory at a graveside service to be held on April 25, 2026, at Forest Park East Cemetery. The service will commence at 9:30 a.m. and conclude by 10:30 a.m. The cemetery is located at 3700 St Vincent Avenue in Shreveport, LA 71103.

She is survived by her brother, William Mastin Scott III, who joins many in mourning the loss of a treasured family member. Margaret was preceded in death by her father, William Mastin Scott Jr., and her mother, Dorothy Jarriel Scott Tooley. Their memories endure in the hearts of all who knew and loved Margaret.
