Manning of Shreveport, LA Graveside service for Marceil ""Ceil"" Manning, 84, will be held Tuesday, August, 5, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Park St. Vincent Cemetery. Officiating will be Chaplain (COL) Fred Hudson, US Army Ret. and Reveren Mike Shannon. Services will be conducted through Forest Park Funeral Home. Ceil began her journey in life on August 22, 1929 in McCleod, TX. She went to be with her Lord on Sunday, August 3, 2014 in Shreveport. She devoted her life to helping others and witnessing for her Lord. She served her Lord through her music ministry. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Shreveport. Her family was always a priority. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Bill, her husband of 45 years was the love of her life. Her love for her family and friends was never ending. She is preceded in death by her husband, William ""Bill"" Manning, daughter Judith Hunt, and daughter-in-law Dorothy Manning. Left to cherish memories are sons: Mickey Manning; Tommy Manning and wife Pam; Michael Moss; Timothy Moss and wife Karen; daughters: Evelyn Helms and husband John, Jennifer Hutson and husband Jon; niece: Susie Jimerson and husband Tom; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
