Louise Hill

Hill of Shreveport, LA passed away On July 25, 2014 surrounded by family, Louise peacefully slipped away from this life into Heaven. She was born on March 2, 1930 to Charlie Guy and Clotile Guy Ward in Shreveport, LA. She was a graduate of Byrd High School. For Over 40 years she was married to Jim Hill, they lovingly raised two daughters and one son. Their doors were always open for many kids of Cedar Grove they were known as their second mom and dad. She worked for Shreveport Grain and Elevator for over 30years and she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. However, being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother was her chief calling in this life. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, but she did enjoy playing cards with a group of ladies who were life-long friends. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Jim in 1994 and her son Charles Roy Hill in 2005. Survivors include daughters, Janie Hill Greer, Jimmie (Mel) Hill Sale and son in law Dexter Sale. Daughter in law, Nita Hill Granddaughters, Kelly Hill, Tristin Sale, Asley Roop, Heather Luoma and husband T.J. Luoma. Great granddaughters, Jamie Stewart, Alli Zoe, and Maddie Luoma. Great grandsons, Hunter Hartmann and Logan Wood. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. ""Our Loss is Heavens Gain"" Funeral services will be 12 noon August 1,2014 held at Forest Park Funeral Home. Officiating will be Jeff Jones, associate Pastor of Brookwood Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Jesse Grubbs, Hurby Grubbs, Tommy Gowan, Jerry Anderson, Eddie Shinault and Randy Weldon. Visitation will be today from 5:00p.m. Until 7:00 p.m.
