Louisa "Isa" Anene

October 22, 1963 — March 27, 2026

Louisa Anene (née Bezzaz), 62, of Ballinger, Texas passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on March 27, 2026, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was born on October 22, 1963, in Bremen, Germany to Anna “Anne” Alma Bezzaz (née Egberts) and Abdelmajid “Jimmy” Bezzaz.

Louisa will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, loyalty, and fierce devotion to her family. She carried herself with strength, courage, and optimism through every stage of life. Those closest to her knew her as someone who could make people feel cared for, welcomed, and at home wherever they were.

Louisa grew up in Bremen, Germany, where she attended Grundschule an der Robinsbalje, Gymnasium am Willakedamm, and SZ Delfter Straße. She later worked as a bill and account collector, where she was known for her diligence, dependability and tenacity for getting the job done. As the spouse of a U.S. Army service member, she traveled the world with her five children, building lifelong friendships and memories along the way. Her travels took her to Kansas, Texas, South Korea, Massachusetts, North Carolina, South Carolina, Hawaii, Illinois, and Rheinland Pfalz, Germany. She ultimately found her home in San Angelo and Ballinger, Texas.

Louisa never missed her afternoon tea—a cherished connection to her East Frisian roots. She found joy in cooking, baking, travel, shopping, the arts, and staying connected with family and friends around the world. She followed current events closely, enjoyed engaging in thoughtful political discourse, and treasured the everyday moments spent with the people she loved most. Through years of travel and change, she had a remarkable gift for turning every house into a loving home.

Her greatest pride was her family. Louisa was a devoted mother to Farrakhan Anene, Jamal Anene, Shaheena Anene, Chantel Anene, and Adrian Anene. She was a loving Oma to Julius Anene, Saige Anene, Josiah Anene, Soren Zapata, and Leon Coyer.

She is survived by her siblings Djamila Bezzaz, Ahmed Bezzaz, Mohamed Bezzaz, and Salime Bezzaz; her aunts Ruth Egberts and Ingrid Egberts; her cousins Jens Egberts and Ralf Egberts; and her niece and nephew, Louisa Bezzaz and Silas Bezzaz.

Louisa found great companionship in her beloved pets Todd, Copper, Bibi, and Gizmo, who brought her comfort and joy throughout the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Abdelmajid “Jimmy” Bezzaz and Anna “Anne” Alma Bezzaz (née Egberts); her grandparents, Fredrich August Egberts and Alma Berta Egberts; and her uncles Gerhard Egberts, Fritz Egberts, and Edmund Egberts.

A celebration of Louisa’s life will be held on May 24, 2026, in San Angelo, Texas.
Louisa’s memory lives on in the family she loved so deeply and in the many lives she touched through her warmth, generosity, humor, and unwavering care for others.
