Lavonne Kay (Swartz) Arndt

LaVonne “Bonnie” Kay Arndt, age 77, a loving mother/housewife, has died on Sunday, January 8th, 2023, at her home in Greenwood, Louisiana.

She was born on October 14, 1945, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Robert Swartz and Lola Marie Sukow. She lived most of her life in Kansas City, Missouri, Greenwood, and Shreveport, LA. Bonnie practiced her faith and spirituality by attending various churches. She also enjoyed spending time singing, dancing, and crocheting.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Swartz and Lola Sukow; brother, Dale Swartz; and sister, JoAnn Bogart.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, James Arndt; children, Troy (Michelle) Arndt, Rhondalea Arndt, Tyrone (Billie) Arndt, DeAnn Clark, and Vincent (Teresa) Arndt; her grandchildren, Monica Perez, Dylan Arndt, Dustyn Martinsen, LaVonne Martinsen, Tyler (Molly) Arndt, Allison (Clinton) Houghtaling, Cesar Nunez, and Rachel Johnston; her siblings, Shirley (Buff) Buffington, Linda (George) Rice, Cindy (John) Kraska, and Brenda Newton; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 13, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, at Forest Park Funeral Home, 1201 Louisiana Ave. A graveside service will immediately follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd.
