CHERAMIE French to English CHER (DEAR) AMIE (FRIEND) Kayla Victoria Cheramie was born on August 10th, 1987 in Shreveport, LA and departed this life on Monday, October 3rd, 2016. She was the second child of Cliff and Karla Cheramie. She had one sibling, her ""big sissy"" Candice Annette Preston. Kayla was a child of God, a daughter, sister, niece, cousin and a ""Dear Friend"" to many and will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Kayla graduated from C.E. Byrd High School in 2006 and also attended Bossier Parish Community College. Kayla worked various jobs in the hospitality and customer service fields and also worked as a commissioner at the voting polls in St. Vincent Mall for many years along with her mother. Kayla enjoyed cooking, traveling, reading, couponing, listening to music, attending church and spending time with her family and friends. Kayla was also a BIG DALLAS COWBOYS FAN !! She is preceded in death by her grandparents, father (Cliff), mother (Karla) and one brother-in-law Reggie Preston. Left to cherish her memory is her boyfriend of 4 years John Michael Tarver, her sister Candice Preston both of Shreveport, LA. Her god parents Ronnie and Annette Touvell of Lake Charles, LA. The Huddleston Family (John, Mary, Victoria, Chris, Cameron & Madison), all of Shreveport, LA. Also a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many many friends that will all miss her greatly. Last but not least, her beloved dog CHOPPER. Words cannot express the gratitude we have in our hearts for all of our family and friends and we thank you for all the love, support, prayers, gifts, and donations during this very difficult time and we ask for continued prayer in the upcoming months.
