Celebration of life gathering for Joseph C Prudhomme Jr. will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, December 27, 2013, at American Legion Post #14 on Cross Lake. (casual attire) Joseph C Prudhomme Jr. was born July 20, 1935 in Shreveport, LA to Joseph C Prudhomme Sr. and Odeal DeBlouge Prudhomme. He passed December 18, 2013 in Shreveport, LA. His parents and Daughter Kelley Prudhomme preceded him in death. Jay is survived by his wife, Sue Prudhomme; Sister Mildred Prudhomme of Shreveport, LA; sons, Mark Thompson of Sugarland, TX, Mike Prudhomme of Bossier City, LA, and Jason Prudhomme of Shreveport, LA; Daughter Kim Prudhomme McCandlish of Shreveport, LA; daughter-in-laws, Lori Thompson of Sugarland, TX and Donna Prudhomme of Bossier City, LA; son-in-law Raymond McCandlish; grandchildren, Sarah & Sally Thompson,Bryce Archer, Autumn Miller, Joey & Jenson Prudhomme, Kera Hamilton, and Krystal Griffin; great grandchildren McKenzie Miller, Aubrey Hamilton, Austin Hamilton, Bailey Owers, Jolee Griffin, and Braxton and great life time friends Charles and Mary Citrano. Jay was well known for all his volunteerism and service work with The American Legion and the community. He was honored by receiving the Jefferson Award from the President of the United States, he received numerous awards in sales and service in the oil, gas, and communications industry. He was past president of Business Exchange, Inc. and served as a member of the Board of Directors for The March of Dimes, American Red Cross, Heart Association, and the Petroleum Club. Jay had many friends throughout his career and volunteerism and will truly be missed.
