Joseph Brady

Joseph A. Brady Jr., 62 of Mt. Pleasant, Texas passed away on February 23rd, 2019 in Shreveport, LA at the VA Medical Center with his children Brandy, Liz and Joey by his side. He died due to complications from the rare condition Still's disease. Joe was born in Boston, Massachusetts (thank you Patriots for letting him see another Super Bowl win!) to Joseph and Claire Brady. He is the 2nd of five siblings. He has 3 children; Brandy, Joey, as well as daughter in-law Samantha and son in-law Drew. Joe also has 6 grandchildren he absolutely adores. Joe was a proud member of the United States Navy for almost 24 years. He was able to travel the world while serving his country. He received many commendations and retired as a chief. While serving and raising 3 children he was able to earn a bachelor's degree from Southern Illinois University. The last few years of his life he became a farmer! First in Colorado he had 2 chicken coops full of chicken. Then he packed up and headed to Texas and got some goats. He worked hard even as gout and arthritis kept him in constant pain. He loved his animals and always wanted what was best for them. For those that loved Joe there is a hole in their heart. He was there to make you smile when you needed it. Help you though the hard times. Give you a hard time when you deserve it. Tell you a horrible dad joke. Drive you crazy because he's a stubborn old man. Give you advise that no one else thought of. He will be missed!
