John Irlan Rodgers of Corpus Christi, TX passed away March 31, 2015. John was born February 7, 1956 to Billy and Ginger Rodgers in Corpus Christi Texas. He went to be with the Lord our Savior on March 31, 2015. He enjoyed working with his hands on anything, He loved his farm and Facebook farm family, cooked many a meal in chef world, but mostly he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a loving father and grandfather to 6 children and 10 grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his loving step father Vyron Funderburk, Sr. He is survived by his mother Ginger Barnum King, his wife Brenda Rodgers, his children Sharon Rogers, John Rodgers Jr. and wife Gloria, Melisa Lott, Ginger Rodgers, Dustin Rodgers and wife Samantha, Brittany Rodgers and Husband Chris Jester. He loved all of his grandchildren Daniel Rodgers, Jeremy Rodgers, Sean Rodgers, Jordan Rodgers, Emery McDowell, Courtney Rodgers, Abbigail Rodgers, Mallory Rodgers, Mikale Jester, and Anna Rodgers. He is also survived by his 3 Brothers Vyron Funderburk, Jr. and wife Rebecca, Billy Rodgers and wife Sandra and Bobby Rodgers, and 6 Sisters Rita and husband Larry Wilson, Diana and husband Roy Malmay, Francis Jones, Kathy Heddin, Diane Rodgers, and Vicki Rodgers. His nieces and nephews are Vyron Funderburk, III and children Brennan and Levi. Daniel Funderburk, and children Ethan, Cory and Daniel Jr. Carla Kill and children Kinzey, Ryan, and Riley. Renee Wilkerson and children Alex and Zach, Steven Wilson and children Aaron and Makayla. Scotty Wilson, Mark Bossier and Trenton, Rhonda Mike and Destiny, Jennifer Ford and Taylor,Bryan Rodgers, Morgan Rodgers, Lauren Nagot, and Lindsey Nagot and son Ely. The family would like to thank all who donated to the Memorial Fund. You have touched our hearts forever and we will never forget you. We would also like to thank Bob Chambers and the South Bossier Fire Department. Shreveport LA services for John Irlan Rodgers Sr. (59) will be held Tuesday April 7, 2015 at Forest Park Funeral Home at 1201 Louisiana Ave. Shreveport LA 71101. Visitation will be held at 5:00 pm. Services will begin at 7:00 pm.
