John Wade Swallows, Of Shreveport, La Sr.

John Wade Swallows, Sr. passed away on April 27, 2014 at age 74. Born in Pikeville, TN on August 27, 1939, he loved trucks, collecting model cars & eagle figures. He was a tough man with a heart of gold. Surviving him in death is his wife of 53 years, Sharon Rose Swallows, three sons; John Swallows, Jr. & wife Teresa; Wade swallows & wife Heather; & Lucas Swallows & wife Jackie; one daughter, Gladys Swallows Starr & husband Ronnie; step-daughter Nola Medllin; 16 grandkids, 39 great-grand children; & 3 great-great grandchildren. Preceding him in death in his son, Pernell A Swallows; mother Gladys Wade Swallows; father, John M Swallows; 2 sisters & 2 brothers. Arrangements have been entrusted to Forest Park Funeral Home & visitation will be held in the Wellman's Memorial Chapel from 8:30am-1:00pm prior to service. Services will begin at 1:00pm with internment immediately after at Forest Park West Cemetery.
