John Howard

John Durham Howard III was born March 9, 1965, to John D. Howard Jr. and Martha Elizabeth Witt, in Shreveport, Louisiana. To greet him were his two sisters, Cynthia Mae and Shelly Johnett Howard. John went home to his heavenly Father on July 22, 2017. To greet him in heaven are his sister; Shelly, his Dad, and two grandmothers, Nettie Witt and Mary Howard. When John was a little boy, his favorite girlfriend was his Aunt Judy who regularly took him and his sister swimming and to McDonald's for treats. John attended Cherokee Park Elementary, Caddo Academy, Baptist Christian Academy and Grawood Academy. John's greatest happiness in life was the birth of his son, Jesse Lee Howard, born to him and Leia Rose on January 13, 1997. John was a carpenter and plumber by trade. He helped build the first St. Jude's Children's Home in Shreveport. John had a good heart and recognizes God's grave and God's love in his life and in other people's. Left to cherish his memory are his mother; Martha, sister; Cindy Lee, two nieces; Rachael Wallace and Madison Ravels, his son; Jesse Howard, and his Aunt Judy and Uncle Tom Carroll.
