John Glorioso

A Mass of Christian Burial for John Anthony Glorioso Jr. will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday May 8, 2015 at the Cathedral of Saint John Berchmans. The celebrants will be Monsignor Carson LaCaze and Father Charles Glorioso. Entombment will follow in Forest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday May 7 at Forest Park Funeral Home. A prayer service including rosary will follow beginning at 6:00 p.m. John was born July 29, 1952 in Shreveport, LA and passed away Sunday May 3rd after a long battle with ALS. He will be remembered as a passionate man who loved life and lived it in accordance with his own life motto, ""Live to Ride for Only the Strong Survive to Ride for Glory"". He lived his life pursuing happiness and freedom of spirit through his hobbies such as travel, fast cars and Harley Davidsons as well as spending time and corresponding with the family and friends he loved so dearly. After his diagnosis in 2004 he dedicated his remaining time to raise awareness and advocate for ALS research in hopes that others would not suffer. John was preceded in death by his parents Mr. John Anthony Glorioso Sr. and Mrs. Wilma Taylor Glorioso. He is survived by his daughter Stephanie Glorioso Christy, husband Brad and children Madison and Jacob; his son Brian Glorioso, wife Sara Beth and children Micah, Zion, Isaac, Adiel, and Aliza; his daughter Jenna Glorioso, and his daughter Caitlyn Glorioso. John is also survived by his sister Patti Glorioso Dauman, husband Dan; his sister Terri Glorioso Brando, husband Tim and children Tiffany Brando and Tara Brando Sullivan, husband John as well as his brother Mark Glorioso, son Mason. Pallbearers will be James Barnard, Tim Brando, Mike Carr, Sam Carr, Roy Cascio, Mason Glorioso, Craig Jones and Marcus Wren. Honorary pallbearers Jim Chico, Jon Clark, Dan Dauman, Rigby Hollingsworth, Luis Perello and Tiffin Reed. To continue in the search for a cure the family asks for donations to the ALS Association in lieu of flowers.
