Joe Wheat

Mr. Joe B. Wheat, 81, of Doyline, LA passed away at his home on Monday August 24, 2015. Viewing will be held from 10am-12pm on Friday August 28, 2015 at Forest Park Funeral Home. Mr. Wheat was born May 6, 1934 in Waterproof, LA. He was the son of Ora Mae Lee & Harry William Wheat, Sr. He was an employee at AT&T for 40 years and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of Church of Christ at Shreveport. He is survived by his wife Shirley who he was married to for 60 years. His son Joey and daughter Renee Wheat. His siblings Marie, Barbra, Joyce, Diane, Jenny, Jeraline, & Don. His grandchildren Heather Stelly, Jessica Sinclair, & Christina Wheat. His great grandchildren Kyle, Olivia, Kara, & Aiden Stelly, Kaylee & Pryce Crain, & F.J. Joe wheat. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Phillip, his brothers William & Harry, and sister Clarice.
