Joanne Girouard

JoAnne Doris Girouard (Big Red), 90, of Keithville, La, passed away Saturday August 10, 2019 at LifeCare Pierremont in Shreveport, La. JoAnne was born June 21, 1929 in Sturgeon Bay, WI to Clifford and Elda Lau. She attended Sturgeon Bay High School. Later in life she moved to her forever town of Keithville, La. She was a member of many associations; Red Hat Society, Keithville Baptist Church, Ladies of American Legion Auxiliary, Bowling teams, and Bingo. JoAnne was loving and known as Mamaw by all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to travel extensively with her husband Antoine and many family members. She spent two weeks in Hawaii, which she loved, with her son Don and his family in 1988 and she had a great time. JoAnne also loved the great outdoors and camping. JoAnne is preceded in death by her husband; Antoine Girouard, son; Clifford Antoine Girouard, her parents; Clifford and Elda Lau, all her Grandparents, her sister; Karen Jean Peters, and brother; Ronald Lau. She is survived by her children; Donald Girouard (Mary), Julie Girouard Center (Casey), Tommy Girouard (Linda), Johnny Girouard, Karen Girouard, 14 Grandchildren, 36 Great Grandchildren, 7 Great-Great Grandchildren, many Nieces and Nephews.
