Jessie Mae Thomas

Jessie Mae Brantley Thomas, aged 86, passed away on September 18, 2024, in Bethany, Oklahoma. Born on June 5, 1938, Jessie spent her early years attending Atkins Elementary and Linwood Jr High, before graduating from Byrd High School.

Jessie dedicated many years of her life working as a sales associate, where she was known for her dedication and warmth towards customers and colleagues alike.

Jessie leaves behind a loving family, including her daughter Gail Avery and spouse John, son Chris Thomas and spouse Laura, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her spouse, Alex V. Thomas, her father Issac Brantley, mother Leila Bridges, a sister, two brothers, and four stepbrothers.

A visitation for Jessie will be held at Forest Park Funeral Home 1201 Louisiana Ave in Shreveport, Louisiana on Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 11 am to 1 pm, followed by the funeral service at 1 pm. The interment will take place at Forest Park West Cemetery.
