Jennifer Dell McKinnon Wyatt, a dedicated professional in medical administration and a cherished member of her community, passed away on March 15, 2026, in Shreveport, Louisiana, after a long battle with dementia. Born on April 21, 1946, in Shreveport, she remained deeply connected to her hometown throughout her life.
Jennifer was a proud graduate of Woodlawn High School, and her commitment to service extended beyond her career. Known for her warm heart and nurturing spirit, she delighted in cooking, fishing, and camping. She was especially known for her generous nature, never wanting anyone to go hungry, embodying the caring attitude behind the affectionate saying, "mama knows." Above all, Jennifer treasured her time spent with family, carrying their joys and stories close to her heart.
She was also a devoted companion to her beloved dog, Tootsie, whose presence brought her much comfort and joy.
Jennifer is survived by her loving husband, Don Wyatt; her children, Jason Wyatt and his wife Traci Wyatt; her grandchildren, Zachary Fort, Diana Fort Woodward, Jacob Wyatt, Joshua Wyatt, and Jordyn Wyatt; and her great-grandchildren, Ellis Kate Fort, Claira Jane Fort, and Lily Claire Woodward. Their devotion created a living legacy that Jennifer cherished deeply.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Neal Fort, and her parents, Tommy and Ruby McKinnon, both of whom held a special place in her heart.

Family, friends, and those whose lives were touched by Jennifer are invited to honor her memory at the Forest Park Funeral Home in Shreveport. Visitation will take place on March 19, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. The interment will be held at Forest Park West Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.
Jennifer Dell McKinnon Wyatt's life was a testament to kindness, resilience, and love. Her legacy will remain in the hearts of all who knew her, as a source of inspiration and a reminder of the power of compassion and family bonds.
