Jason Michael Mattingly Jr.

Jason “Michael” Mattingly Jr., age 31, a former building contractor, has died on March 4, 2023, in Bossier City, LA.

He was born on April 21, 1991, in Stockbridge, Georgia, to Sheila Roland and Jason Mattingly Sr. Michael lived most of his life in Shreveport, Louisiana and in Newnan, Georgia. He attended East Coweta High School in Georgia, and he enjoyed tattoos, motorcycles, and music.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Heather.

He is survived by his parents, Jason and Sheila; his children, Kelsey, Atlanta, and Chloe; bonus daughter, AJ; his sister, Georgia; his grandparents, Ralph and Mary; his aunts and uncles, Ryan, Eric, Tom, Mark, Todd, and Sherri; his cousins, Jax, Chloe, Cody, Brandon, TJ, Jeremy, Caydie, Ethan, and Jared; and his special pets, Cali and Pettie.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 17, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM, at Forest Park Funeral Home, 1201 Louisiana Ave. Memorial services will take place immediately afterwards at 3:00 PM.

Memorial contributions in Michael’s honor may be made in the form of sending flowers to the funeral home for services.
